Filmmaking was never meant to be easy.

Seeing a film production through to the end is one of the most difficult adventures an artist can embark on. Whether it be facing a blank page for weeks on end, suffering through thunderstorms on set or diagnosing technical gremlins in the editing suite, filmmaking has danger written all over it.

These challenges are tough enough in and of themselves but they become something all the more demanding, and thought-provoking, when you are making movies in regional Victoria (and beyond).

That is why I founded Bin Goblin Studios: to help support micro-budget, independent film from regional areas get off the ground and onto the big (and small) screen. However, I’m not in favour of gatekeeping or drawing arbitrary lines on a map. Bin Goblin Studios will take this small town attitude and implement it anywhere, that’s the vision.

This production banner might be the new kid on the block but it’s more than prepared to help get regional filmmakers and artists in front of an audience.

EVERYTHING GROWS IN EDEN was made for a modest $9,000 budget and yet it toured cinemas across the region and premiered at the Brunswick Underground Film Festival to stunning acclaim. It now has over 16,000 views on YouTube as it finds it’s next audience online.

Bin Goblin Studios is already in pre-production on multiple new projects and is on the lookout for more.

The Australian film industry needs a shakeup and we want to be a part of it.
